Another "Random Freezes" Thread
After Installing Windows 7 (clean install), I installed video card drivers. When the setup prompted me to restart, I said yes. That's when the computer froze for the first time.I have not installed chipset, audio, LAN, or USB (needed?) drivers yet due to frequent Hard Locks. I have also redirected the My Videos, Music, etc. files to a separate drive.Any solutions?Specs:MK8-939A Mach Speed Motherboard (out of production) Chipset: North Bridge: VIA K8T890 South Bridge: VIA VT8237R2 GB RAM9600GT 1GB (probably bottle necked by processor to an 8600GT or so)AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+

Also, the crashes seem to occur once every 10 minutes. While using Firefox and remaining in one program, the crashes are less frequent.

Problem solved. I went to device manager and there was apparently a video card update driver called "prerelease WDDM 1.1." Then I installed my chipset. It worked for a long time flawlessly, but when I installed Crysis and updated it, the system froze after the udate's completion. I rebooted, ran another update, then played the game. The audio and video stutters much more than in Windows XP. I'm sure there is another forum for this though.-Thanks, sorta

Hi Slosha This is the type of issues you will run into, especially in the early stages of any beta. Good job getting this fixed (sorta). :)I marked your post as answered. Ronnie Vernon MVP
